Friday, 27 March 2015 our Character Bulding group (Democrazy ) did our third project to assist the children in Paud Ceria. The street look more smooth than usual because the traffic jam wasn't too crowded.

When we arrived in this PAUD, the teacher and children were read a prayer. It was their habits to pray before they're doing some activities.

The first activities for last Friday in PAUD is coloring the papaya pictures that already provided.Children colored the pictures with different colors. Some of them used orange color, red color, and also yellow colors. Although they used the wrong color, but overall they did it well. After that, they pinned the picture with the sharp pencil so the picture become perforated.

After they're doing the first activities, they continue learn how to make envelope (origami). The purpose of this lesson is to develop their creativity by making handcraft.Then, they will attached in their drawing book, so the teacher can give the mark to their creativity.

The next activities is story telling. Rafif with two other friends, Christopher and Azka, act as an actor in the story. The story was about the King (played by rafif) which has 2 children (Christopher and Azka) who like to fight each other.Their personalitiy is selfish, they don't care to the others,  even accusing each other. When the story already began, we asked the children to calm down, listened, and enjoyed our story.

At the time when the story took place, we also gave some interactions to the children by asking some questions to know whether that behavior is bad or not.They listened the story enthusiastically.

After we told the story, the teacher gave some questions related to the story. We also gave a sticker as our  prize because the children have listened well. All of activities have been done and it's time to go back to their homes. As usual, we sing and pray together before going to home.

From the story, we also inserted some advices that was related to Pancasila  as our foundation, especially the third rules. It taught us the importance of unity in our lives. Don't fight easily to the other person!! Don't easily judge people!! Why don't we maintain harmony relationship with each other.

Friday, 20 March 2015 our Character Building (Democrazy) group continue our project to assit children in PAUD Ceria. Same with last Friday, our group went to this location by using car. The traffic was really crowded, so it takes much time to go here. The teachers and children looked so different because they're using sports uniform. We're going to do morning excercise .

The purpose of this excercise is to keep our health. Beside that, it also trained the children to memorise many kinds of movement. Mrs.Ami led our excercise. We just followed her. The children're so enthusiast and enjoyed this excercise. Some of them asked Mrs.Ami to do this excercise twice although they looked so tired and hungry.

After morning excercise session, we were going to eat together. Mrs. Ami as a heamaster and also teacher has already prepared the food. The food that has prepared were soup and jelly. She also told us to join this breakfast session. 

The children looked so happy because they're already full. Then, the teacher told them to brush the teeth so that  they can maintain their teeth. The teachers also taught how to brush the teeth in proper way.

The last activity was making communication tools from plastic glass and rope. The teacher asked them to find their partner and used it together. Many student was curious to use this tools, we help them to understand how to communicate with the other people. So, when the first people was talking, the second people would  be as a listener. Otherwise, when the second people was talking, the first people would  be as a listener. I think it's related to the third foundation in Pancasila that tell  us about UNITY because they're not discriminate the other people when they choose their partner. As a good citizen, we must try to respect each other although we're different.

   The class was almost over. But, before they're going back to home, they did their routinity to memorise the song and also pray . In our daily life, we must pray to God to bless us in every aspect in our life as stated in the first foundation (religion). In the end of the class, we gave them  a prize. The prize is a big name tag with the animal shape. We gave this nametag to memorise their name and also taught them about many kinds of animal. We also used nametag with fruit shape so that they can also memorise our name.

I think the activies was really interested. This is our story in week 2. For the week 3, we'll going to telling some stories to them with the cute props. It'll be more fantastic.

          Friday, 13 March 2015 our Character Building (Democrazy) group did TFI project. We got a project to assist children in PAUD Ceria ( Haji Ja'ani Street RT 009/011 No.11, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat 11530. We gathered at Binus Square to leave together by using the same car. Actually to get the PAUD's location wasn't far, but it took almost one hour because of traffic jam. This location exactly near Panjang Street.We already observed its location on Wednesday (11 March 2015), so it wasn't hard to reach.
         

         We arrived at PAUD Ceria, but it was so difficult to get any parking space because the road was quite narrow. After we parked the car, we were greeted by the headmaster (Mrs.Amalia). She’s so friendly and she told us about children’s activities and habits. I am so appreciated with her daily routine and social life by giving her knowledge and teaching many children patiently.

Our Group entered to the classroom when they draw something  and then we introduced ourselves to the teachers and children. Many children felt very happy and excited, but some children felt embrassed when we tried to socialize with them. We also asked them to selfie together. Unexpectedly, they asked us to selfie again and again. After that they continued to draw. 

Then, some students already finished their task and they came to us to play my friend’s tablet. Although, it was their first time to play gadget but they were really smart. They can played the game properly. I'm really amazed with their children cause of their comprehension is really nice.

In the first impression when I met the children, they weren’t shy person, but they had high confidence and also showed that they were very polite. They’re very respectful to their teacher.But, sometimes they’re naughty and disturbed each other so their teacher scolded them in a good way and good manner.

In Paud Ceria, there are 3 classes for students. The first class is Playgroup, it’s for  3-4 years old. The second class is group A. This class is for 4-5 years old. The third class is group B and it’s for 5-6 years old. Actually, there were many activities in this PAUD. After the children learnt to draw, they went to the front yard to play balls. The purpose of this game was to learn about color in fun ways because the children like to play  in outdoor. 

So, the students were divided into three groups and each member formed a line. There are three basket: yellow, red, and green. The teacher explained the rules to collect the balls based on the color of basket. They ran  as fast as they can and they look very excited to play this game. But, there’re some students broke the rules, like collected the balls more than one, put the ball in the wrong basket.

After playing the game, the teacher told to them to wash their hand before entering the class. The teachers were very discipline. They’re not only taught the children about knowledge but also taught how to behave with good manner and how to keep our health. Then, they wore their shoes and bags. But, before going to home, they’re doing routine acivities like memorise new song, sing  a lot of song, and pray together. Based on Pancasila as our foundation, it's related to first foundation "Believe in the one supreme GOD". It tells us to pray to God before doing something. I think it's a good teachings for educate and introduce them to the religion side when they are in childhood.
After that, we took a picture with the teacher and  the childen, also said good bye to each other.

I am very happy to help and teach them. I am not only get some new experiences but also  learn how to assist the children. Yeahh this is our story in the Week 1. For the week 2 , we will exercise together in the morning and also make communication tools from plastic  glass and rope. I think it will be more exciting.
